This assignment was my senior capstone project. We were tasked with coming up with our own project. One that had meaning and a message. I knew I wanted to create a book since I started Graphic design, so all I had to come up with was the message. I have always had a love for dogs and wanted some impact on how dogs are treated. Therefore, Finn and Buddy's path to forever was born. The biggest challenge with this project was coming up with how everything in the book was going to look. I wanted it to be very colorful and eye-catching and engaging for the target audience (10-14 year olds). I also struggled greatly with writing a story that was age appropriate and entertaining enough to continue reading. I was able to accomplish this by choosing two colors per dog that represent how each down is feeling/ represents and using that all throughout the book. I also worked very hard on the writing and had many drafts that eventually became what it is now.
